A few pages of slide ideas collected over the years- not really a 'how-to' so much as some hopefully interesting possibilities.

This is a neat set of ideas/jumping off places for making unique slides from materials that can be found at most hobby shops.  Although the title features neckechief slides, the ideas mentioned  would easily apply to many Cub or Girl Scouting craft projects.
